01 - Crack eggs into a mixing bowl. Add milk or cream, salt, and pepper. Whisk until thoroughly combined and slightly frothy.
02 - Place unsalted butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Allow to melt completely until gently bubbling.
03 - Pour egg mixture into the skillet. Let sit undisturbed for a few seconds until edges begin to set.
04 - Using a spatula, gently push eggs from edges toward center, forming soft curds. Continue cooking while stirring occasionally until just set but still creamy.
